I can't believe how many people start off the new year exercising and planning on eating right and then all of it goes by the way size just a few weeks into the year.  A friend of mine said she had to wait for a treadmill at the gym this week and two weeks before, she could have picked any treadmill she wanted.  I bet in a few weeks from now, she'll be able to pick any treadmill she wants because the new year fitness phase will be over.  The only reason I start up my exercise routine in January is I get so incredibly busy during the holiday season, I can't seem to fit exercise in.  I know it's not an excuse but it happens every year.  I normally have a regular exercise routine which goes off the track every few weeks depending on how busy life gets.    

In order to help keep me motivated, what I really want to get is the fitness band from Avon.  I've seen these around and debated getting one but they seem to be a little expensive.  Avon's fitness band is $69.99.  It tracks steps, distance, calories burned and activity time.  It also works with the MyWay Fit app on a smartphone.  I just read the other day that keeping a log of exercise and food helps you to lose weight even if you just keep the log half way decent.  I'll let you know how the fitness band works once my order arrives.  I took a look at the app the band connects with and it looks fairly easy to use.
