I want to take a moment to wish all the mothers out there a very Happy Mother's Day.  I am a mother of 2 children, ages 13 (going to be 14 in 2 weeks) and 9.  The teenage years so far have been trying but there are ups and downs.  So grateful for the ups when they happen!  

My relationship with my mother is estranged and unfortunately, will never be what I would like it to be but life goes on.  I'm the happiest I have ever been in life despite not having my mother in my life.  It has been difficult at times especially when I need some motherly advice but guess what? That's what dear friends are for.  All I know is that I strive to create the best relationship I can with my kids and be the best mom I can possibly be.  Happy Mother's Day, my friends!
