Avon Campaign 9 2015

Avon's Campaign 9 presents so many gift ideas for Mom.  Mother's Day is May 10th.  I think you can find something for any mom in this brochure starting with the Sterling Silver jewelry.  My gift of choice (if I had a mom) would be the Mom monogram necklace.  I bought the Nana monogram necklace for my mother-in-law from my kids.  I was thrilled to see the Nana necklace because that's the name my kids call my mother-in-law and usually you see "grandma".  The necklace is really pretty but on the small side.  I was surprised with the size of the pendant itself.  The chain is very delicate as well.

The only problem with giving a ring as a gift is knowing the person's ring size so you might have to be creative when trying to get your mom's ring size without coming right out and asking her.  I forget my own ring size and would have no idea what my mom's ring size is so I would have to do some work to get the ring size!





Does your mom like flowers?  Avon has floral watches and pendant necklaces.  The floral watches are very pretty but unfortunately, the watch band is huge.  I bought one for a gift for one of my customers who can only wear bracelet type watches and the watch was way too big.  She will definitely have to get someone to take out the links for a better fit.  The floral pendant necklaces are pretty and dainty.  Choose your mom's birth month for a perfect match.  My flower is the larkspur.  I know many of the birthstones but I didn't know the month's flowers.

If your mom isn't into jewelry, how about a picture frame?  Pick your favorite picture to put in the frame before giving it to mom makes it extra special.  Choose from a heart frame with pink or purple gems or a frame with family written in different ways.  Get that camera out and take a family selfie just for mom! Speaking of selfies, I love the way I go to show someone a picture on my phone and find selfies that my kids took on my phone without me knowing it.  My husband doesn't like when they do it but I like it because I'm not one fanatical picture-taking moms who has lots and lots of pictures of their kids.  This way I always have pictures of my kids.  They seem to change so much so quickly.


Here's another gift idea - create a make-over basket for Mom.  Fill a basket with makeup that's on sale to save a few bucks.  Glimmerstick eye liners are on sale 4 for $10, eye shadow palettes for $4.99, mascara buy 1, get 1 half price, lip gloss 3 for $8.99 and nail polish for $3.49.  I create baskets for giveaways and/or gifts.  I get the basket, cling wrap and shredded paper from the dollar store.  The dollar store is great for these kind of things! I crumple up newspaper to fill up the bottom of the basket so the gifts are in plain view.  I cover the newspaper with shredded paper or foil grass (the kind that you use to put in Easter baskets).  I arrange the gifts on top of the shredded paper and put the basket in the shrink wrap.  Use a hair dryer to shrink the wrap to form to the basket and tie it with a big bow.  Add an extra touch to the basket and dangle a necklace from where the bow is tied.  The Two-Heart-in-One necklace set on the back page of the brochure would be perfect for this and only $5.99.   There is a perfect gift basket for Mom.  You can also include small candies and maybe a candle or a gift certificate for one of your mom's favorite store or restaurant.
