Avon - Not Your Mother's Avon

Sometimes when I tell someone I sell Avon, they reply with "my mom used to buy Avon."  Guess what?  So did my mom.  I found that some people are attached with Avon since they were kids and others are attached with Mary Kay.

I grew up with Avon.  My mom used Avon and I think she may have sold it for a little while when I was little.  In fact, I still have Avon jewelry that my mom has given me as a kid.  I even have an Avon mug and a candy dish from my mom.

So when I started selling Avon, a customer purchased Sweet Honesty
perfume and boy, did that fragrance bring back some memories!  I remember my mom wearing this when I was a kid.  One of my household chores was dusting my mom's dresser where all her Avon perfume bottles were.  And let me tell you, she had a whole dresser full of them! Remember these bottles?  She had bottles shaped like owls, cats, etc.  She bought fragrances for my dad in bottles shaped like guns and cars.  I think Avon should bring back some of these shaped bottles for holiday gift giving.

Another Avon product I remember from my childhood is the mini lipstick samples.  When I started selling Avon, I couldn't believe that Avon still had these tiny samples.  I used to try on my mom's lipstick samples when playing dress-up as a kid.  In fact, I don't think my mom had the normal sized lipstick tubes, just the samples.  She used to wear the samples, probably because she had so many of them.  She even had a case for them. which I would love to get a hold of one of these cases for my samples!

Avon was founded in 1886 so the company has been around a long time. I haven't met a single person that hasn't heard of the company.  Avon has so much to offer these days including toys, children's clothing, shoes, household goodies and holiday decorations.  As an Avon rep, I buy my own things at a discount and use Avon products every day.  I no longer buy things like shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotion, etc.  in a store anymore.  Not only do I get a discount, but my own sales count toward my overall sales for bigger discounts and awards.  Try Avon and save money on everyday products like I do.  Sign up online for $15.
