Big & False Lash Volume Mascara vs. Mega Effects Volume Mascara

VS.
For the past several weeks, I've been switching back and forth between the brand new Big & False Lash Volume Mascara and the Mega Effects Mascara. I like to try Avon products myself so I can answer questions from customers or make suggestions to customers. I found that mascara is all about personal preference. I have naturally long eye lashes and the only reason I wear mascara is to make them stand out more. When I was in high school, I didn't wear mascara but my peers insisted that I did. Now since I'm older, I lose a few lashes here and there so mascara helps make them look fuller.
What I like about the Big & False Lash Volume mascara is the intense volume. Just a few swipes and you can definitely see the difference. The other good thing about the Big & False Lash is that it's suitable for contact lens wearers such as myself. Sometimes mascaras can cause my contact lens to become sticky and irritating. Most of the time, I use very little to avoid this problem. I like that it is waterproof as well. What I don't care for is that the brush is short and the brush is not bent to the shape of your eyes like most mascaras are. Avon says that the brush reaches the corners and lower lashes easily but I disagree. I find that you really have to maneuver the brush to grab those lower lashes.
What I like about the Mega Effects mascara is the wonderbrush. The wonderbrush is an Avon exclusive. You will not find this anywhere else. What's the wonderbrush you might ask it? It's a unique mascara brush that is curved to match your lash line and the head of the brush bends and adjusts for maximum control. The bad thing about the brush is that I had to learn how to use it since I was used to the usual mascara brush on a wand. But once I learned how to use it, it's hard to use the old brushes! You have so much control and the brush really does grab those tiny lashes in the corners of your eyes. One of the cons of the Mega Effects mascara is that when it's brand new, the mascara is very wet. A mascara guard might be needed. A mascara guard is a curved plastic tool that you put behind your lashes and then apply the mascara. I just put a piece of tissue paper behind my lashes. Once the mascara ages a little, it's not as wet and works without a guard.
THE WINNER IS (for me anyway) is the MEGA EFFECTS MASCARA. I like the Mega Effects better because of the brush. I like the volume from the Big & False Lash but I like the application of the Mega Effects. With any $25 purchase, online or in person, try the Big & False Lash for yourself for FREE.
