I Love Christmas Lights!

Closer to where we live is the WinterFest of Lights in Ocean City. You ride on a boardwalk tram in a park while a Christmas soundtrack plays that kind of match the displays. Last year, our tram got a flat tire which made a bumpy ride! The driver ran into one of the arches that we drove under. We're glad we didn't get him as a driver this year!
Last year, we visited Christmas Town in Busch Gardens in Virginia and we were rained out. The park closed early due to an ice storm that was expected to hit the area so the park guest service department gave us tickets for this year's Christmas Town. We visited the park over Thanksgiving weekend and had a fabulous time. In fact, we had so much fun and watched so many shows, we ran out of time to see everything. One of the shows was called Scrooge No More and what a fantastic show that was! The guy that played Scrooge looked just like the Scrooge in the movies. He looked exactly what I pictured a real life Scrooge to look like. He was awesome! Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed. The light displays are amazing.
Not only do I love to see Christmas light displays but I enjoy decorating our house. This year, my husband decorated the outside of the house all by himself. He did a great job! We also have a music system that creates a light show. I'm not sure that our neighbors appreciate it though! Last year, we won first place in the town's lighting contest but this year, we didn't see anybody judging in our part of town. Not a big deal though. We don't decorate to win a contest, we decorate for our pleasure. Here are some pictures of our house from last year. It doesn't look like that many lights because some of them are blinking with the music and don't show up in the pictures. We added a few things this year and unfortunately, the snowman isn't going to make it another year. He's falling apart from the wind. It seems as though as soon as we put up the decorations, the wind picks up for the few weeks before Christmas.
