Avon Chi Essentials Hair Color
If you haven't heard, Avon has been bought by an LG health and beauty company. I had no idea that LG had a health and beauty division! With that being said, there have been lots of changes with Avon. Some changes I'm not happy with and others I'm thrilled with, like the new Avon Chi Essentials Hair Color.
Like anyone else in the mid-forties, the gray hair is creeping in day by day. I try to let it go and tell people I'm going to go all gray, then I get sick of it and dye it. My hair is a dark brown and the grays show up, oh, so well!
I was so excited to see Avon brought hair color back in the representative demo book. Avon had it a few years ago and was so disappointed when Avon discontinued it. I stocked up on it. I finally ran out and had to buy color at the drug store. It took me a few brands and colors to find the right one in the drug store. One of them burned my head so bad that I looked like I had cradle cap! I couldn't use that one again.
So I took a chance and tried the new Chi Essentials from the Avon demo book. And wow! I love it! Do you know that chemical salon smell that most of the hair colors I've tried have? Chi Essentials didn't have that. In fact, it smelled like pineapple. It was easy to use. The bottles were numbered. I liked that the kit came with a shower cap. I'm always afraid that I'm going to drip since I can't just sit still for a half hour. I'm up and around doing things while waiting for the color to set. The kit also comes with Chi Essential replenishing shampoo, conditioner and serum. In the instructions, it tells you to use the shampoo, conditioner and serum right after you rinse the color but it doesn't say if you should continue using it days after you use the color. I would think so but I really like my volume shampoo and conditioner since my hair is so thin so maybe I'll alternate them until the replenishing shampoo is gone. It's only a sample bottle so it won't last long.
Take a look at the colors on my website. I'll let you know how long it lasts. My hair is shiny and soft so I'm liking it so far.
Thanks!
